Edie Kaye Krone is a queer, Southern writer, educator, community organizer, and editor from rural Tennessee who now works and lives in Fayetteville, Arkansas. She received her BA from the University of Memphis and is currently pursuing her MFA in poetry at the University of Arkansas, where she teaches Intro to Writing and Creative Writing. She has previously held positions for Palette Poetry, The Arkansas International, and The Pinch, but currently serves as the editor-in-chief at dogyard. EK runs a monthly community workshop through Pokeberry Ink in Fayetteville, Arkansas and writes a blog titled The World on E in her free time. Her work has been nominated for Best of The Net and she is the winner of Arkana’s Editor’s Choice Award in Poetry and the inaugural winner of the Arkansas Writers Award.

Edie Kaye has had the opportunity to attend craft talks or workshops with writers like Jericho Brown, Ada Limon, Ross Gay, Stephen Graham Jones, Percival Everett, Emily Skaja, Marcus Wicker, Geffrey Davis, Joy Harjo, Adrien Matejka, Nana Kwame Adjei-Brenyah, Joy Priest, and Carmen Maria Machado, among others. She is available for readings and other inquiries.

Short Bio: EK Krone (she/her) is a jailhouse preacher’s daughter. An MFA candidate at the University of Arkansas, the editor-in-chief at dogyard, and a trans southerner, she can be found in HAD, wildness, Strange Hymnal, or stomping around in the woods.
